It’s gotten so cold in Dallas – well, relatively speaking, of course. It still hasn’t snowed in Dallas, but I feel like it’s noticeably colder this year. I cranked up the fireplace, and currently, I’m all about fur, fur, and more fur.

I love decorating my house with (faux) fur accessories in winter because plush fur is just visually so welcoming and comforting.

I hung monogrammed faux fur stockings that I got from Pottery Barn. I am so satisfied with the quality of these stockings. Each stocking is substantial in weight, SO SOFT to the touch, and blends nicely with my living room.

The stockings are for my husband, 3 of my dogs, and me, and I got them monogrammed in gold threads. So pretty and festive! Pottery Barn offers monogramming on various items at an additional cost (usually $9.95).

Note that all personalized items are non-refundable because they’re considered custom orders.

I also switched out fall items on the coffee table for cotton branches I got from Magnolia Market in Waco, TX.

I love cotton branches in winter – there is something innately warm and fuzzy about those plush cotton balls!

And the latest addition to my living room is the Icelandic Sheepskin Throw.

I’ve been eyeing this beautiful piece of luxury for many years! Design Within Reach offers 2 types of sheepskin throws – Sheepskin and Icelandic Sheepskin Throws. They both come in 2 colors (grey and white) and 2 sizes (small and large). The difference between the two is essentially the thread length. The regular Sheepskin throw has a relatively shorter pile, giving a more structured look.

On the other hand, the Icelandic Sheepskin throw has much longer, looser threads. They are both quality sheepskin throws, so the decision really comes down to your preference. And the Icelandic Sheepskin is slightly more expensive than the regular Sheepskin. Mine is the Icelandic Sheepskin in small.

The throw is so versatile, and it instantly brings comfort and warmth no matter how you play it. I am so glad I bought it.

You can drape it over a sofa or chair.

You can also use it as a stylish foot rug, but with 3 very inquisitive dogs, I knew that wouldn’t be a possibility!
It is 100% genuine sheepskin, so the throw is incredibly lightweight yet warm. My feet always get cold, and this throw manages to keep them warm when I’m lounging around or binging on Netflix.
