You’d want the best for your animals, and I’m with you.
I’ve looked everywhere for durable food and water bowls that are not only sturdy but hygienic. Stainless steel bowls seemed like the best option for me since they are easy to care for and durable.

After doing some research and carefully perusing reviews, I ordered a Boomer 8 Dog Food Bowl from YETI. And I couldn’t be happier.

Unboxing a package is exciting for both my dog and me. My dog loves shredding bubble wraps, and this time, the package is for her!
It took me forever to decide on a color. I ended up ordering a stainless steel exterior since it’s timeless.

The Boomer 8 has a solid construction and is heavy (1.9 lbs), which is great for keeping the bowl in place. I’ve seen other stainless steel bowls that are ultra-lightweight and flimsy. They may wash well and be easy on your wrists, but I knew my dog was going to knock it over easily.

Since it is dishwasher safe, the heavy weight didn’t discourage me.
Given the nature of stainless steel, I knew it wouldn’t be microwave safe. And my dog only gets dry kibble and occasional wet food, so it works out fine.

The bowl holds 8 cups of fresh water or kibble, ideal for medium to large dogs.

The bowl has not rusted, and my dog has not yet made a dent in it. It’s very durable, and I doubt that she can ding it ever.

The Boomer 8 features a solid rubber ring, called the BearFoot™ Non-Slip Ring, to minimize sliding. And Yeti meant it when they said the bowl wouldn’t slip and slide across the floor.
The bowl stays in place on our tile floor, and my dog hasn’t been able to move it at all. I still need to deal with water splashing everywhere, but even when wet, the bowl doesn’t slide. Fantastic.

You can register the Boomer 8 using the QR code on the bottom of the bowl.
Once you complete the registration, you get a free gift (a Yeti sticker pack).
Registering it should facilitate any warranty requests if you were to experience any issues with the bowl.

The box included a cute sticker as well.

My boyfriend thought I was crazy when I told him I bought a $50 dog bowl. But I knew the Boomer 8 bowl was going to be awesome, and now my boyfriend’s fully on board with Yeti products. I wouldn’t be okay with spending $50 for an inferior product that is lacking in quality; however, the Boomer 8 bowl is hands down the BEST dog bowl money can buy.
