Oh my god, this is the BEST dog food bowl, and I can’t believe I’ve just discovered this.
Frankly, I’m not much of an outdoor person, so I was not aware of Yeti. Apparently, Yeti’s a famous outdoor brand that is known for its durability and function. I doubt that I’ll ever be buying a cooler or a folding chair, but regardless, I’m very happy with my new Yeti Boomer 8 Dog Food Bowl.
I believe the $50 price tag is completely justified, considering how well-made it is.
The bowl may outlive your dog.
The bowl is food safe (obviously!), whether that’s water, kibble, wet food or prime cuts. I often give my dog boiled chicken that is still warm, so I’m not comfortable with plastic bowls. Many plastic bowls these days are made of BPA-free plastic, but still I prefer stainless steel. Oh, and just in case I wasn’t clear, the Boomer 8 Bowl is also BPA-free!
The bowl is constructed of durable 18/8 stainless steel, making the bowl puncture and rust-resistant. My dog and I are rough on food bowls, so having a durable bowl that can withstand rough handling is a plus. I don’t throw it around unnecessarily, but I don’t baby it either.
The dog bowl comes in 5 colors, navy, seafoam, brick red, black and stainless steel. Regardless of the color, the inside of the bowl is made of same stainless steel, rendering an overall sleek and modern look.
I love my navy bowl – such a pretty shade of deep blue, and it’s so modern.
The Yeti logo is printed on the side of the bowl, and if you wish, you can get the bowl customized. You can either print your dog’s (or cat’s) name or add cute graphic elements like paw prints or football. I skipped on the customization since the bowl was already quite pricey and I only have 1 dog, so no confusion there.
The bowl is already substantial in weight; however, Yeti included an anti-slip rubber ring on the bottom of the bowl to keep it from sliding around. The rubber ring increases the traction, so it doesn’t slide easily.
You certainly don’t need to be an outdoorsy person to enjoy the amazing Boomer 8. You and your dog will love it.
