Extra Details:

I love the idea of reusable gift packaging, but a lot of the ones I've seen look very obviously reusable or like something you'd use for a corporate gift basket. I'm looking for really beautiful bags or boxes that I can keep and use for Christmas, birthdays, hostess gifts, etc. I'd happily spend more than I would on regular wrapping if they actually last. Would love specific brands you've bought that look expensive in person.

Have you looked at Hallmark’s fabric gift bags? I started buying these because I was so sick of spending money on nice wrapping paper just for it to immediately go in the trash.

The fabric ones are much nicer in person than the cheap drawstring bags you see on Amazon. I especially like them for hostess gifts and smaller Christmas gifts because you can add a nice ribbon or ornament to make them look more special.

For boxes, The Container Store has really good rigid gift boxes around the holidays. I have a few that have somehow made it through multiple Christmases. They're sturdy enough that I literally flatten/organize all my holiday packaging after Christmas and bring them back out the next year.

I would skip anything with super-specific Christmas sayings printed all over it though. The plain red, green, velvet or neutral ones are so much more reusable.
