Prefer neutral, classic styles over trendy or loud
Appreciate quality materials and thoughtful details
something I can actually wear the item multiple times a week
no animal fur
I don't want ultra-sporty gear unless it’s very refined
don't need something that requires “special occasions” to wear
Extra Details:
Recently moved to Boston from NorCal, and I'm definitely in dire need for warm, winter clothes. I spend some time outside, mostly for school drop-offs, dog walks, errands, etc. I want to be warm without looking bulky or “overly technical” (like Canada Goose or Arc'teryx).
This one lives up to the hype. It’s shockingly warm without being heavy, great for daily errands, school drop-offs, and travel. It comes in the regular and long versions, but for everyday activities, I recommend the regular length.
It's super lightweight, has a flattering shape, and packs down easily. Aritzia launches different colors each year (just like Lululemon's Scuba hoodies), and I'm currently obsessed with this color.
I got my wife the Jenni Kayne cashmere beanie, and it’s become her default winter hat. It’s really soft (not itchy at all), holds its shape even after a lot of wear, and the neutral color works with basically everything she owns. It keeps her warm without totally flattening her hair, so she actually wears it daily instead of leaving it in the drawer. Comes in 5 colors, and it's a simple, elevated, and definitely a good gift choice.

Love the Aritzia Super Puff.
