My rule for girls’ weekend packing is: bring fewer pieces, but make sure each one can work in at least two or three outfits.

One thing I always pack for a girls’ weekend is the Reformation Aubree Knit Dress. It’s one of those pieces that works way harder than it should. I’ll wear it during the day with sneakers and a tote for coffee runs or sightseeing, then switch into heeled sandals and some gold jewelry for dinner or drinks. The knit fabric is comfortable enough for travel days but still looks put-together in photos. I’ve learned that bringing one or two “chameleon” dresses like this saves so much suitcase space.

For shoes, I always bring a pair of Veja Campo Sneakers. They’re clean, minimal, and surprisingly versatile. I’ve worn them with everything from denim shorts to slip dresses on trips. They’re comfortable enough for long walking days but still look stylish in outfit photos, which is honestly half the point of a girls’ trip. I used to pack bulky running shoes, but these feel much more polished.

Another underrated item is a small shoulder bag like the Staud Moon Bag. It instantly elevates even the simplest outfit. On trips, I usually pack neutral basics (white tank, black skirt, denim), and the bag kind of pulls the look together so it doesn’t feel boring. It’s also the perfect size for evenings out when you just need your phone, lip gloss, and hotel key.

One accessory I swear by now is a silk scarf from Toteme. It’s ridiculously versatile — I’ve worn it as a hair tie, wrapped around my bag handle, or even as a light shoulder cover when a restaurant has aggressive air conditioning. It’s tiny in your suitcase but makes outfits look intentional instead of thrown together.

And finally, I always throw in a pair of Quay Australia High Key Sunglasses. A good pair of sunglasses instantly upgrades casual outfits and makes you feel put together even if you’re running on three hours of sleep after a late night with friends. They’re lightweight, flattering on most face shapes, and honestly just make every outfit look cooler.
