Luxury Flats That are Comfortable for All-Day Walking
For Whom/What:
someone who's traveling frequently and all-day walking
Budget:
willing to invest
Requirements:
Needs to survive airport days + walking
No painful break-in period
Elegant enough for nice restaurants
Extra Details:
I’m tired of buying “beautiful but impossible” shoes. Comparing brands like Chanel, The Row, Alaïa, Gucci, Ferragamo, etc. Would love brutally honest opinions from people who’ve actually worn theirs for full travel days instead of just car-to-dinner situations.
I’ve owned the Chanel ballerinas, Gucci Jordaan loafers, and The Row Ava flats, and The Row ended up ruining every other flat for me. They’re not the “cutest in photos” compared to trendier options, but on actual travel days? Nothing came close. The leather is insanely soft from day one and they somehow mold to your feet without that awful luxury-shoe torture phase.
I wore mine through Narita, Seoul, and a full day walking in Paris and realized halfway through I wasn’t even thinking about my shoes anymore, which honestly is the highest compliment possible. They also have that very understated rich-woman energy where they work with everything from trousers to denim to oversized cashmere without trying too hard.
