Happy Father's Day! Looking for thoughtful, practical, or just plain cool Father’s Day gift ideas — especially for the kind of dad who insists he doesn’t want anything. I know, they're the hardest! I’m hoping to find something that’s either genuinely useful, surprisingly personal, or delightfully indulgent. No generic mugs or socks — from son to dad, I want stuff that makes him light up.

If your dad’s the “I’ll fix it myself” type or just loves a well-made tool, get him the Leatherman ARC. Hands down the best multitool I’ve ever used—and I’ve tried a bunch over the years. Got it for my own dad last Christmas and he hasn't stopped raving about it.

This is Leatherman’s top-of-the-line model and it shows. Titanium handles, buttery-smooth one-handed open, and everything just clicks into place like it was built in a NASA lab.

And that Blade! The main blade is made from MagnaCut steel—aka unicorn steel. Crazy edge retention, corrosion resistance, and it’s razor sharp out of the box.

Tools snap open and stay open, then close with zero fuss. No nail-breaking or wiggling required. Super satisfying for fidgeters too 😅

It contains every tool you actually need. 21 tools including pliers, wire cutters, screwdriver, bit driver, file, scissors, saw, etc. And unlike cheap multitools, everything is usable, not just for show.

It’s pricey (around $230 retail but ~$150 on Amazon), but it really is worth every cent. Especially for a dad who values quality over quantity. He’ll use it for years, and it won’t end up in the junk drawer like a lot of Father’s Day gifts do.

10/10 would gift again.

If you want a Father's Day gift that actually gets used and feels impressively tech-forward, the Theragun Mini 2.0 is a home run. At $199, it’s on the higher end of mid-budget gifts, but totally worth it for what it delivers. This thing is sleek, portable, and feels like something out of a sci-fi movie with how quiet and powerful it is. It uses Therabody’s QuietForce Technology, has Bluetooth connectivity for custom routines via app, and charges with USB-C — all very 2025. My dad was honestly shocked something this small could work out his back knots after golf like a pro massage therapist.

Functionally, it’s perfect for everyday use — whether he’s an athlete, works a desk job, or just wants to relax without going to a spa. It comes with three different attachments and three speed settings to hit all the right spots, and the ergonomic grip makes it easy to use on himself. Plus, the battery lasts forever (well, two hours, which is basically forever in massage time). If your dad appreciates cool gadgets and likes feeling good, this is one of those gifts that delivers both style and substance.
