Products That Keep a White Sofa Alive in a House With Kids

For Whom/What:

Parents who refused to give up on light-colored furniture after having children Budget:

Budget:

~$300

Requirements:

Safe and practical around young children

Works on white, cream, ivory, or very light upholstery

Shouldn’t leave an obvious residue or discoloration

Ideally something you’ve actually tested on kid-related disasters

Extra Details:

I have two small kids and apparently still believe I’m entitled to own a white sofa. Between snack fingers, milk, mystery smudges, crayons that somehow migrate across the house, and a toddler who considers the sofa an extension of the playroom, I’m realizing that “just don’t eat on the sofa” is not a realistic maintenance strategy. I don’t want to permanently cover the entire thing in something ugly, either. I’m looking for the arsenal people with light upholstery actually keep around—the spray you grab immediately, the tiny upholstery machine, the protector that genuinely works, whatever has saved your sofa from something that looked catastrophic.
