Work Pants Comfortable Enough to Forget You’re Wearing Work Pants

Budget:

~$300

Requirements:

Looks like legitimate office trousers

Stretchy/comfortable enough for an entire day

Doesn’t dig into the waist while sitting

Holds shape instead of bagging at the knees

Machine washable is a huge bonus

Extra Details:

I want trousers I can wear to a meeting at 11 AM and still not desperately want to remove at 7 PM. Surely somewhere between tailored wool pants and Lululemon there is a civilized middle ground.

The pull-on Treeca pants from Theory are my answer to “I need to look like I went to work but I don't want to feel like I went to work.”

They look like proper slim tailored trousers with loafers or flats, but there's enough stretch that I can sit at my desk, drive, pick up my kid, crouch down to deal with whatever toddler situation is occurring, etc.

They're especially good for those days where work ends at 3–4 but you're still wearing the same clothes until dinner.
