I work in a family business and somehow a huge chunk of my day has become reviewing invoices, highlighting numbers, signing things, comparing documents, organizing bank paperwork, and writing tiny notes to myself about things I need to follow up on.
It is objectively not exciting work.
But I’ve discovered that ridiculously good stationery makes it about 30% more enjoyable. A great highlighter, correction tape that works perfectly, a pen with an absurdly satisfying click, or some tiny Japanese office gadget can genuinely improve my mood.
I’m basically trying to build the Hermès handbag equivalent of an administrative-work stationery drawer—not necessarily expensive, just unusually good.
