I’m on the hunt for a new work bag — something that can carry my daily essentials without looking sloppy or feeling like a black hole. I’m in my 40s, so I want something polished but practical, not overly trendy. Ideally, it should transition well from office to meetings (and maybe even the occasional dinner), while still being comfortable to carry.
I’ve tried a few bags that either looked great but didn’t fit much, or were roomy but ended up feeling bulky and overwhelming.
The Chanel 25 is easily my favorite work bag of late! The size is perfect for daily use — big enough for all the essentials (phone, card case, keys, a small notebook), but compact enough that it never feels heavy or overwhelming. It keeps its structure beautifully, so it always looks polished, even after a long day of running around.
The chain strap is comfortable for commuting when I want to go hands-free, but it also looks chic draped over the shoulder for meetings. I love that it transitions effortlessly from work to dinner or events without me needing to switch bags.

I splurged on a Senreve Maestra a couple of years ago, and it’s one of the few “investment bags” that was worth it. It can be worn as a tote, satchel, or backpack (which is great for commuting), and the organization inside is fantastic. Fits my laptop and looks polished enough for client meetings. It is heavier than some, but the versatility makes up for it.
